About The Pilates Method

The Pilates Method is an exercise system focused on improving flexibility and strength for the whole body without building bulky muscles. It is a series of intentionally controlled movements engaging your body and mind. Pilates promotes physical harmony and balance for people of all ages and physical conditions while providing a refreshing and energizing workout.

Pilates is true Mind Body exercise. I specialize in bringing a client’s full attention to the muscle group that is performing any movement or exercise. By developing a strong connection between the brain and muscle action, you become stronger and faster in response and reflexes. Pilates also increases flexibility. We stretch all tight muscle groups that interfere with posture or create pain. We increase range of motion (ROM) safely using Springs as resistance and assistance to lift limbs while concentrating on Core Abdominal muscles and Erector Spinae muscles.

As a Master Instructor I offer training to Apprentices in The Pilates Method as it was taught to me by the now deceased Romana Kryzanowska. This is completed over 600 hours and is personally supervised by me. We arrange the schedule to suit both our needs. It involves observation, anatomy study, practice, testing, and working with clients. I suggest 3-4 hours at a time. You arrive interested and keep up your attention for that long. We work on all equipment.
